STET’s CORE system provides real-time processing of clearing and settlement services to a community of over 500 financial institutions in France. In 2009, STET’s CORE system processed 13 billion transactions having a value of €5.1 trillion, and card-originated transactions amounting to six billion – processing that represents 48% of the total volume of all payment transactions cleared in Europe. “Our goal was to build a system based on the most advanced technology components available on the marketplace to support the growing demand for fast and efficient products and services, and at the same time, offer flexibility to support the existing diversity of payment instruments. Axway Gateway was chosen in this context as our unique multi-protocol communication gateway and interface to all external parties,” said Rodolphe Meyer, CIO at STET.
