Axway to Co-Present AS4 for the Cloud at International Cloud Symposium 2011

Technical Council Members of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) from Axway to Participate in AS4 Demonstration

HEATHROW, UK, ICS11 – October 10, 2011– Axway (NYSE Euronext: AXW), the Business Interaction Networks company, announced today that it will take part in the International Cloud Symposium (ICS) on October 10 in Ditton Manor, Heathrow, United Kingdom. The ICS will explore the unique attributes of cloud computing and its ability to revolutionize the way governments and organizations implement their information systems and applications.

At the Symposium, Axway chief architect Dale Moberg and Axway senior software engineer Akihisa Sako, will conduct a demonstration alongside representatives from Cisco and Flame Computing entitled “Open Standards in the Cloud Interoperability Demonstration Featuring AS4: A Communication Standard for Cloud-based Integration Services.” The demonstration of multiple independent AS4 implementations will address the key challenges organizations face concerning full cloud deployment, such as inter-cloud interaction and interoperability among various cloud providers.

AS4, new Conformance Profile of OASIS ebMS 3.0, is an open standard for the secure exchange of business-to-business (B2B) documents using Web Services. AS4 was designed with input from GS1 and is a functional super set of both ebMS 2.0 and the EDIINT AS2 standard.

Dale Moberg has been involved in defining or enabling reliable, secure systems for B2B collaboration since 1993, having both chaired and co-chaired OASIS ebXML Technical Committees. He was an early contributor to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Electronic Data Interchange-Internet Integration (EDIINT) working group, focusing on the requirements for all EDIINT applicability statements and writing the HTTP implementation, AS2.
