International Post Corporation Chooses Axway in Large-Scale Application Migration

Axway Provides Seamless Transition in Application Update

PHOENIX – July 13, 2010 – Axway, the Business Interaction Networks company, today announced International Postal Corporation (IPC) has successfully migrated from Axway’s legacy product AMTrix to the Axway Business-to-Business integration (B2Bi) solution, based on its award-winning Synchrony™ platform.  IPC, a cooperative of 24 postal organizations that handles over 80% of all mail delivered in the world, expects the implementation to monitor and upgrade the quality of their electronic data interchange (EDI) services, while providing a seamless customer experience to end users.

IPC manages up to 200,000 EDI transactions daily to monitor postal service quality, ensure traceability, and measure performance against targets. Their previous system had worked well for years, but Axway B2Bi solution offered an updated architecture with a more flexible, modern and business-oriented approach that eased operational processes for IPC. The new solution enables them to process an enormous volume of EDI information, and successfully receives, translates, verifies and integrates information into a central database.

“We considered all of the options available to us very carefully.  Axway seemed to be the vendor most capable of taking on a critical application migration project of this scale,” stated Lionel Gilmont, EDI infrastructure manager, IPC. “Once we had the opportunity to evaluate the Axway solution, and to work closely with Axway engineers, we were confident that we really made the right choice to migrate to Axway.”

The Axway B2Bi solution offers the essential building blocks an enterprise like IPC needs to establish secure dynamic connections both inside and outside the enterprise. The platform includes a powerful set of open services, such as secure communication, community management, transformation, end-to-end visibility and integration, which provide a secure, reliable foundation for efficiently connecting applications, employees, customers, partners, and regulatory bodies across countries and time zones.

"For companies like IPC, dynamic business interaction networks are vital to the health of the organization," said Joe Fisher, EVP, worldwide marketing, Axway.  “Axway’s global-class B2Bi solutions provide stability and security under a flexible, easy-to-maintain infrastructure. Additionally, Axway’s application migration capabilities provide a seamless transition from one platform to another without a loss of data, functionality or user experience."
