Axway Recognized for Expertise in SEPA Solutions

Axway Financial Exchange Receives Award for Innovation at PayForum

PHOENIX, April 12, 2010
During the second annual PayForum show held last month in Paris, Axway, the Business Interaction Networks company, received a 2010 Innovative Payments Trophy for Axway Financial Exchange in the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) Solutions category. This award honors seven creative and innovative industry card providers, banks and vendors.

Axway Financial Exchange supports the transition from domestic payment models to SEPA with a multi-channel, multi-enterprise, multi-format and multi-service exchange platform. The solution enables centralized management of financial flows with quality assurance and complete end-to-end visibility of exchanged data. It offers a wide variety of exchange system functionalities required by corporate treasurers, chief financial officers and bank transaction managers.

Banks and corporations can manage the various phases of migration of the existing internal infrastructures to SEPA-compliant systems, thereby reducing financial costs in the short term. Axway Financial Exchange consolidates and provides new visibility on critical transaction flows both inside and outside the enterprise. For banks, Axway Financial Exchange simplifies migrating customer payment transactions to new banking protocols, thus decreasing the risk of error and guaranteeing fulfillment of service level agreements (SLAs). With Axway Financial Exchange, corporations can centralize payment flows from subsidiaries and transfer remittances to banks securely using new exchange protocols such as the Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard (EBICS) – including e-signature – or standards such as SWIFT (Axway Financial Exchange is SWIFTReady Financial EAI certified).  The solution complements existing treasury management system (TMS) applications to consolidate all financial flows with banks.

“We would like to thank the PayForum organizers and judges for recognizing our commitment toward banks and corporations to support the establishment of the European payments market and SEPA. We designed Axway Financial Exchange to help both banks and corporations migrate to new systems and turn regulatory requirements into business opportunities. This award confirms our ability to develop innovative business solutions,” said Eric Chevrier, senior vice president, EMEA sales & operations, Axway.
