SYDNEY, Australia – Axway, the leading global provider of multi-enterprise solutions and infrastructure, today announced the opening of its new Sales and Training Office for Australasia. From its North Sydney, Australia premises, the combined Axway and Tumbleweed operational teams will now provide sales and training support for channel partners and an extensive network of enterprise clients. In conjunction with its new office, the company has expanded its local team with the appointment of John Lee as Regional Manager for Axway — Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.
The Axway Australasian Sales and Training Office is a key component of the introduction of the Axway brand and solutions, according to Stree Naidu, Axway Tumbleweed's Regional Vice President Asia Pacific and Japan. Axway acquired Tumbleweed Communications in September 2008 and today the company offers integrated collaborative business solutions to more than 11,000 customers globally.
"The Office has already launched its initial round of Axway product set training for the existing Tumbleweed sales channel partner network and new Axway partners. We will be ensuring that each of our current Tumbleweed partners will be able to identify where the Axway Synchrony product suite can benefit existing and future clients," he continued.
The Sales and Training Office has dedicated training and hot desk facilities for Axway staff and partners.
"This venue will cater for future growth of our local staff and is key to our channel expansion focus. John will be launching the Axway channel partner program for the first time in Australia and New Zealand. We want to hear from potential reseller and system integrator partners that are interested in addressing initiatives for leveraging information technology investments across all industry — particularly in the area of compliance, software integration and collaboration," said Naidu.
Training programs are currently underway for the Axway Synchrony product set of software components, collaborative business solutions and services as well as the Tumbleweed product set for managed file transfer, email security, email encryption and identity validation.
