DNS Arrow Boosts Security Division Through Distribution Agreement With Tumbleweed Communications

Emphasis placed on recruiting resellers to grow market for SecureTransport™ product

Redwood City, Calif. – March 26, 2008 – DNS Arrow, a leading specialist IT distributor, has signed a distribution agreement in the UK and Ireland with Tumbleweed® Communications, an industry leader in managed file transfer and email security. The partnership will focus on Tumbleweed’s SecureTransport™ product, which is ideally placed to meet the demands of the rapidly growing managed file transfer market.

A number of high profile data loss blunders in the UK - most notably HM Revenue & Customs’ loss of two CDs containing 25 million personal records – have led to heightened interest in cutting-edge technologies which allow the secure transfer of data files via the internet. SecureTransport has won numerous awards and been deployed by enterprises of all sizes, including government organisations and blue-chip companies across an array of industries such as Technology, Retail, Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Consumer Packaged Goods, Telecom and Energy.

The agreement will also see DNS Arrow distribute Tumbleweed’s comprehensive suite of email security products, including Secure Messenger™ for email encryption and MailGate® for inbound and outbound email security. Tumbleweed was recently recognised by Gartner and positioned in the leader’s quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Email Encryption.

James Pattinson, Divisional Director, DNS Arrow, comments: "There is absolutely no excuse for today’s business and government departments to be transferring sensitive data insecurely. The consequences are simply too catastrophic and the solution is readily available. By securely transferring data files across the internet and private IP networks, these organisations can guarantee customers and partners piece of mind.

“We are excited at the prospect of working with Tumbleweed and are actively seeking resellers who can help us address this burgeoning market.”

Craig Whitney, MD, Tumbleweed Communications adds: “On the heels of recent high-profile data breaches, we have seen significant demand for all of our products and for managed file transfer in particular. In fact, we saw record demand for managed file transfer in EMEA for 2007 and double-digit growth in SecureTransport bookings – a trend we expect to continue. DNS Arrow has a long and successful history of security distribution and in partnering with them, we have taken another step towards meeting this considerable demand. DNS Arrow understands what it is to be a value-added distributor and I look forward to a long and fruitful working relationship.”

The DNS Arrow security team will be showcasing Tumbleweed solutions at stand H102 at InfoSec, 22nd – 24th April 2008
