Axway Expands Its Channel Presence With the Appointment of Two New Partners in Thailand

Brain Stream and Infonet International to Promote Axway's B2B Solutions

Thailand, — Axway, the recognized leader of Collaborative Business Solutions, today, appointed two new partners to strengthen its channel presence in Thailand. A stronger channel presence will enable the company to more effectively address vertical market opportunities and increase its business in this region.

"Thailand is one of the key markets for Axway in the Asia acific region. Expanding our channel presence is a strategic step towards growing our customer base across all industries," said Andy Wilkinson, Senior Vice President, Axway Asia Pacific.

Market research firm IDC stated in a news release issued earlier this year that Thailand's spending on information technology is expected to reach $4.36 billion in 2008, up 9.3 percent from 2007 due mainly to government investment in infrastructure. That growth rate would make Thailand Asia's fourth biggest growing market after India, China and Vietnam. The business-to-business (B2B)/Business-to-Government (B2G) market is growing at the similarly rapid pace, as Thailand's market is still in a stage of development and has great potential.

"With so much IT infrastructure development in Thailand, we see tremendous growth potential for our products and solutions. We are well placed to meet the local market's B2B integration needs working with our strategic partners," said Wilkinson.

"Axway is a market leader with strong B2B reference sites," said Surachai Kriwatcharin, Managing Director of Brain Stream. "By leveraging on Axway's solutions and our understanding of the local market, we can help customers improve on their B2B collaboration."

"Teaming up with Axway will allow us to expand our solution offerings, unlock new business opportunities and enhance our competitive strength and growth in the logistics industry", said Vallop S. Pricha of Infonet International, a logistic solution specialist.

An Independent Research Firm has positioned Axway as a leader in the B2B Middleware Software market. Several thousand customers use Axway technology to manage their B2B transactions around the world. Axway B2B software products have also been used by many B2B/B2G services providers, who leverage the completeness and robustness of Axway’s Synchrony™ solutions to interconnect thousands of trading partners and public administrations.

"Partnering with Axway creates an excellent opportunity for solution providers like Brain Stream and Infonet to grow and develop their B2B businesses. In each partnership, we focus on where we add value to a particular partner and likewise, where they add value to us," Wilkinson said.

The Axway Channel Partner Program for the Asia Pacific region is designed to support and assist partners to create these added values. The program consists of two levels — Preferred and Authorized certified partners. The primary differentiator between the two categories is the level of technical certification partners require.

Partners are selected based on industry expertise and market capabilities. Preferred partners get access to a wide range of sales tools and benefits such as, lead generation programs, technical and product information, training programs and demonstration software.

Axway has over 15 active channel partners in the Asia Pacific market place. It aims to expand its partner base with new partners servicing strategic markets and industries.
