SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Axway, Inc. today announced that more than 500 customers participated in its Synchrony2007 European customer convention, which took place at Caroussel du Louvre in Paris on March 7 - 8, 2007. The convention was devoted entirely to the company's Collaborative Business Solutions.
While Axway previously held targeted events throughout the year, this was the first year the company combined the best of these targeted events to create its largest-ever European event. Customers using a wide range of Axway solutions came together from over 20 countries to exchange experiences.
A Convention Marked by a Collaborative Spirit
The convention agenda featured more than 15 customer presentations from Europe, the U.S., and Asia, describing projects involving Axway's Synchrony platform. These testimonials included details of such major European projects by France Telecom, BNP Paribas, BMW and Electrolux. The convention also featured a speaker from Gartner, who provided perspective on the market and Axway CEO Christophe Fabre, who gave an account of the company's vision.
"Our clients became truly aware of Axway's global dimension. They naturally adopted a 'collaborative spirit', giving rise to creative new ideas and innovations. This was also a unique opportunity for us to compare our market vision with that of the major European companies. The 'collaborative spirit' was key in that regard, and once again both our company and our customers emerged richer from these exchanges," said Fabre.
Case Studies Highlighted Business Benefits
"The experiences described by our clients during this session highlighted a clear common theme: regulations and numerous market standards are accelerating the establishment of Collaborative Business Solutions," said Patrick Gouffran, senior vice president of operations at Axway, who acted as co-chairman for the customer testimonial sessions. "The wide variety of presentations meant that all attendees were able to hear examples resembling their own cases. Our customers are adopting an increasingly functional approach, describing the business challenges rather than the technical features of the solution — this closely reflects Axway's own strategy."
"The various testimonials showed how an increasingly wide deployment of Synchrony has made it possible to help customers meet ever-growing business demands," said Bernard Debauche, director of solutions marketing for emerging markets at Axway and co-chairman of the customer testimonials. "What was striking was how far our customers have progressed with the Synchrony offering — with implementations such as IT production automation, managed file transfer (MFT), business process management (BPM) and business activity monitoring (BAM). They showed us how Synchrony addresses issues of business-to-business (B2B) consolidation, data synchronization, end-to-end order management, overall visibility and traceability, as well as compliance with service level agreements — all of which require a more collaborative approach."
The convention also included many demonstrations of Collaborative Business Solutions presented by Axway experts, which included Synchrony for Finance, Synchrony B2B, Synchrony Composer, and Synchrony Sentinel. Axway's customers saw the Synchrony platform solutions in real-world situations. The ability to discover new uses for components already installed in their enterprises led to more beneficial exchanges and contributed to the success of Synchrony2007.
