Axway Enhances Executive Team with Healthcare Experts

Kim Loughead, Second Executive from McKesson, Joins Axway to Drive Business Strategy

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and PARIS - Axway, Inc. today announced that Kim Loughead has joined Axway's healthcare executive team from McKesson Corporation. Loughead, the second executive to join Axway from McKesson, will take on the role of director of business development. Paul Fowler, formerly McKesson's vice president of e-commerce and emerging technologies, also joined the company from McKesson in Nov. 2006 to lead its global healthcare initiatives as vice president of healthcare strategy. With Loughead's experience in emerging technologies, Axway will further its leadership in track and trace technologies for the healthcare industry.

"I'm excited to contribute to Axway's growing presence within the healthcare industry," said Loughead. "Having worked closely with Axway for the last three years, I've been inspired by the company's commitment to securing the healthcare supply chain. Combining our expertise in healthcare and technology puts us in a solid position to lead ongoing initiatives and provide our customers with extensive industry knowledge." Loughead's role will include guiding Axway through new healthcare opportunities, defining customer needs and leading the direction of the business model, operations and product development strategy.

"We're very pleased that Axway has attracted the caliber of talent as Kim and Paul to lead our healthcare technology practice — it definitely validates our mission of achieving patient safety," said Christophe Fabre, CEO of Axway. "It's an honor to create a partnership as successful as our collaboration with McKesson and we're confident that Kim will play an integral role in continuing to build the momentum we've accomplished in the healthcare industry."

Loughead was previously the director of program management for emerging technologies at McKesson and was responsible for major e-commerce and emerging technology initiatives that drove improvements in the safety and efficiency of the pharmaceutical supply chain. She has more than 16 years of technology experience in the area of international logistics and supply chain management, with the last five years focused on the healthcare supply chain. In addition, Loughead led McKesson's item serialization initiatives and successfully launched McKesson's Florida electronic pedigree program.
