Paul Fowler Joins Axway's Global Healthcare Leadership Team

Industry Luminary from McKesson Expands on Axway's Healthcare Practice

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and PARIS - Axway, Inc. today announced the expansion of its global healthcare leadership team with the addition of Paul Fowler as vice president of healthcare strategy. Fowler joins Axway from McKesson Corporation and is a widely recognized industry authority. At Axway, Fowler will be responsible for the development and implementation of Axway's global approach to healthcare and life sciences. His expertise will accelerate the company's mission to secure patient safety within the healthcare industry.

While at McKesson, Fowler was the vice president of e-commerce and emerging technologies. He was responsible for improving the safety and efficiency of the nation's healthcare supply chain. Fowler has more than 28 years of healthcare technology experience including ten years in direct patient care, nine years in medical diagnostic research and nine years with McKesson. Fowler has been very active in leading the healthcare industry's advancements and adoption of emerging technologies, including co-chairing the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) Technology Leadership Council and championing RFID technologies. "We've had great success in collaborating with Paul and McKesson, leading major initiatives to move the industry forward. We'd like to welcome Paul to Axway — his transition to the company is a testament to how well we've worked together," stated Ron Gabrisko, Axway's vice president of health & life sciences.
