SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and PARIS - Axway, Inc. today announced that it has been named to the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 list. Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine recognized Axway for its collaboration with McKesson Corporation to develop a long-term approach that addresses regulatory compliance, with drug pedigree tracking as the first step. Selected by the magazine's editorial staff, in conjunction with the editorial advisory board, the 100 list is a compilation of the leading supply and demand chain innovators.
Axway worked with McKesson to create solutions compatible with new and emerging technologies for both regulatory compliance and inventory management for the pharmaceutical supply chain. To kick off this relationship, the two companies co-developed Synchrony ePedigree — originally known as Cyclone ePedigree prior to Cyclone Commerce's merger with Axway. Synchrony ePedigree is an electronic tracking system for manufacturers, distributors, retailers and healthcare providers. The solution allows organizations to comply with electronic pedigree regulations while leveraging their existing business systems to minimize the impact to current business operations.
Axway collaborated with McKesson to address the healthcare/life sciences industry's needs for a longer-term strategy around serialization, product authentication and track and trace. As regulatory requirements evolve in various vertical markets — pharmaceutical, retail and financial services — Axway will be prepared to provide supply chain players with a holistic approach to regulatory compliance.
"We are very honored to be recognized among the top influential companies that excel in supply and demand chain solutions," said Ron Gabrisko, vice president of health & life sciences at Axway. "Winning a slot on the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 list validates Axway's long-term compliance strategy to ensure a safe and secure supply chain. We're eager to continue our efforts in combining Axway's technical expertise with McKesson's industry knowledge."
The 2006 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 are leading providers of supply chain services and technologies across a variety of industries that can demonstrate their solutions and services are at the forefront of innovation, addressing the needs of companies of varying sizes and assisting in the transformation of a diverse mix of the functions that make up the supply chain.
