Axway and Cyclone Commerce's Controlled Substance Ordering System Wins iBusiness Solution Award from HDMA

Cyclone CSOS™ Recognized by Healthcare Distribution Management Association for Creativity and Innovation

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and PARIS - Axway and Cyclone Commerce, which are currently integrating operations following their January merger, today announced that it has been selected as the winning service provider of the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) iBusiness Solution Award. The combined company's Cyclone CSOS (Controlled Substance Ordering System) solution was recognized for its ability to deliver cost control, increased security and greater visibility into controlled substance transactions while simultaneously ensuring compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations.

CSOS is a DEA mandate that outlines the procedures and requirements to secure, report and retain the e222 form for ordering and distributing controlled substances.

Unlike competitors, Cyclone CSOS is available as part of the companies' Healthcare Compliance Suite, as well as a standalone application. The Suite helps companies ensure safe, secure and efficient supply chains while addressing a range of evolving governmental legislation and trading-partner mandates. Current compliance applications included in the Suite are ePedigree, CSOS, regulated FDA data submission and fee-for-service analysis. With Cyclone Healthcare Compliance Suite, pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, logistics providers and retailers can take a long-term approach to proactively managing compliance.

"We are so honored to be recognized by the HDMA for the innovations and strong performance of our CSOS product and our Healthcare Compliance Suite," said Ron Gabrisko, vice president of health & life sciences. "We attribute much of our leadership position in the healthcare market to our unparalleled commitment to providing the industry with a long-term, adaptable, solution for creating a safe and secure supply chain."

The prestigious annual awards recognize HDMA members for technology-enabled process improvements in the healthcare industry, and are intended to encourage the adoption of creative, new iBusiness solutions. One iBusiness Solutions Award winner was announced within each of the three categories — distributor, manufacturer and service provider — on Friday, June 9 at the Distribution Management Conference & Expo.
